The Kamasutra II takes over from the famous Kamasutra. At first sight you may only notice small aesthetic changes; but subtle changes in the architecture have also improved the ergonomics and comfort.

This harness allows the pilot to fly in all positions with no adjustments required to change from one position to another.
The KARVE System, a unique system of load distribution by sliding straps, makes this result possible.

The factory settings are ideal and the contact of the harness with the back is perfect, resulting in an exceptional level of comfort in all positions.

For those that prefer a seated position, a limiting strap allows the pilot to lock the position of the harness at any time and to return to a standard setting. Two buckle “V” clip in, with integrated non-forgettable clip-in system and adjustable roll damping in flight is standard.

Kortel Kanibal Race

This original looking harness has been designed for pilots who spend their time in the air. The holding of the body, which lies above the anchor is obtained by a system that needed 2 years of development. Finally, flying in a supine position is comfortable!

The setting of the back support, coupled with the adjustment of the seatboard angle, allows the pilot to also fly in an upright position, if needed.
The back support is the first to have been designed "in shape". This feature enhances comfort for long-duration flights.

Setting up the height of the attachment point, means adjusting the stability of the harness to the wing and the type of flying is possible. It also allows compensation in the height anchorage for those who adjust the width of their seatboard.
Setting up the distance between the bars of the speed system allows the pilot to optimize thier position in their favorites flight regimes.

The placement of different straps and webbings has been designed for increasing the responsiveness and accuracy of turns.

Breaking load 2500 kg by a weight of 80 g. That means a weight saving of 100-120g on the harness compared to one with steel karabiners.

Average value of fatigue endurance proven with 425 Kg. Paragliding karabiners in use are loaded and unloaded varyingly - depending on pilot weight thermal and way of flying this load can lie between 10 and 110 kg and more. For conventional karabiners in the area of gate play average values of fatigue endurance of only 45-90 kg were ascertained. To be able to exclude brakages due to material fatigue, the points of actuation by gravity of the karabiners currently in use have to be proved. But until now, the karabiner manufactuers had not been up to that.

Replacement range: We guarantee a service life for the Pin Lock of 8-10 years as long as the karabiner is not used in aggressive environments like salt water or sea air.

Handling
The attachment of the Pin Lock to the paraglider risers is similar to conventional karabiners. The quickpin is self locking. There are two safety steps preventing unintentional opening: The pressing of the release button and the pulling of the pin in the opposite direction.

The separating of the risers after landing is simpler with the Pin Lock. In order to assure that the risers are attached properly during strong wind conditions the harness should be kept connected with the paraglider whilst putting on the leg straps. This applies for conventional karabiners as well as for Pin Lock karabiners.

By paying attention to the instruction manual, problems with freezing up can be avoided even severe winter conditions.

Safety
The Pin Lock has separate harness chambers. Transverse loading is thus avoided. The quickpin is integrated in the karabiner in such a way as to eliminate the possibility of paraglider lines becoming caught up.

The KAIRN is the response of Kortel Design to the concept of a mountain harness.

Our first prototypes were light, very light, comparable with models already on the market. And then we went flying with them.

Then we tried equivalent products.
Ouch! Do people really fly with these? Really fly?
Because it wouldn’t occur to us to do so.
So we decided to produce a harness, not quite as light perhaps, but oh so much more comfortable.
The Kairn, 750g, also made for flying. Serial number and size are situated on the pilot backpack.

No problem to mount a reserve in front position. You just has to link the reserve risers to the main carbineers. No special recommendation. Just choose a light one, it would be a pity to put a heavy one.

There are metal loops to put the speed system cord through.
