Gin Zulu Explorer
The safe intermediate glider of the range, designed to travel and trek.
The Zulu Explorer is a redesigned version of the Zulu, the « off-road » wing, with lightweight materials and more performance.
An optimum mix of the latest materials has been chosen with one objective: to be easy to use, durable, compact and lightweight. Your glider is lighter and packs smaller, but has the performance to fly long distances easily.
The lightest materials available have been utilised where durability and ease of use allow. In other areas we have chosen materials which are lighter than normal, but not extreme. A different top surface cloth, 12mm webbing risers and sleeved lines throughout make the glider easy to handle on the ground.
The Zulu Explorer is so compact it is delivered with our 90 litre lightweight rucksack, which has space for your lightweight harness and other flying gear, but doesnt completely fill the back of your car! No more excess luggage travelling by plane too.
The Zulu Explorer is the perfect tool to discover the world, or your own wild areas. You can easily fly long XCs with excellent performance for a DHV1-2 glider and great handling.
To explore you need to feel safe and at one with your equipment. The Zulu Explorer has an easy take off and is easy to manage in rough conditions.
Although the glider is compact and light, our latest technology is built in for more passive safety and comfort in flight.
One of the best feelings, as well as one of the best reasons to fly a high performance paraglider from Gin Gliders, is the very good pitch control. The practical result is a safer feel with more performance!
Getting that feeling and performance is easy when designing a high performance wing but very hard to achieve in an intermediate or entry-level glider.
Enter the next evolution in glider design - The Pitch Control System
An easy or intermediate paraglider designed with the "Pitch Control System" in combination with the "Keel System" has a completely different feel and behaviour in straight flight than other gliders.
When making transitions on cross country flights the new era of Gin Gliders fly more like high performance gliders with less pitch movement, which equals more efficiency. Flying into a head wind or through turbulence the efficiency really shines and gets you there higher without pushing the speed bar too far or feeling nervous.
Discover the world with the new Zulu Explorer from Gin Gliders. Where will you take it?

The ideal second wing for Alpine Mountaineers, Travelers, and Hikers
Because the Ultralite is actually a full sized wing, launching and landing it is as safe and easy as a normal wing, allowing you to use it with confidence in the most extreme conditions - at high altitude, in deep snow, or on the most difficult launches.
Testing has shown that the Ultralites speed and glide is quite acceptable for a DHV 1-2, which means that many pilots will enjoy flying XC with this wing as well. Although it is a full sized wing in the air, the Ultralites extreme light weight and compact design folds into an almost pocket size, meaning that you can take it with you anywhere, anytime.
Traveling pilots, hike and fly pilots, or pilots seeking the lightest possible glider for the most extreme and technically demanding alpine ascents will all be thoroughly satisfied with the Ultralite.
The material is just as strong, but because it is a true light weight cloth it is not designed to be heavily abused. Although this technically advanced cloth is much more expensive, we have kept the retail price to a very low with harness included, in order to make it available for pilots as a second wing for travel and adventure. The Ultralite harness is a reversible backpack / harness design, weighing it at just 1.3kg.
The 23m and 25m sizes are both DHV certified 1-2. The 23m size is only 2.85kg, and has a max certified weight range of 90kg! Because the wing and the Oxygen1 harness are so light, this means that the 23m size is ideal for pilots with a body weight of up to approx. 85kg. The 25m size has a max certified weight of 105kg, for pilots of up to almost 100kg body weight.

Nervures Haupi Mountain
The paraglider is very fast and profits from being flown loaded. We have measured speed of 40 km/h hands up and 49 km/h accelerated on the Medium size at the top of the weight range.
We have also worked on the other side of the speed range. It is a wing that slows down extremely well. It enters the parachutal phase very gently and stays under control. As long as you are gentle on the controls it will stay open and will not pitch backward. On easing of the commands it will fly again straight away. All these slow flight characteristics make landing in small places much easier.
Medium weighs 3.55kg incl. risers.
Colour Top surface Red/ gold leading edge - grey pattern
Bottom surface white.

Mac Velvia
The market is full of "simply designed" mountaineering gliders and we guess some of them are really boring and slow to launch. We decided to combine a higher performance wing with a light weight glider. Pilots who are looking for the lightest performance intermediate can save a lot of money this way.

Gin Yeti
The YETI is a very lightweight version of the Bolero Plus. Hence the safety and in flight bahaviour are like a DHV1 glider, with a bit more speed and more dynamic handling than the Bolero Plus.
In brief, a really enjoyable glider to fly
