Pokhara valley is in the foothills of the Himalayas. Sarankot take off is 25min jeep ride up the mountain. Take off is a grassy slope 700m above the valley floor. You can use this as a starting place for cross country or just enjoy thermalling around looking at the Himalayas. As you fly out to land in the rice fields you can look at your reflection in a lake ringed with mountains.
We have been flying out in Nepal since 2002 we work with Blue Sky paragliding a registered Swiss/Nepali airsports company run by Swiss instructors who are top competition acrobatic pilots. www.paragliding-nepal.ch/

One hotel option we recommend is Hotel Garden
It is in Damside a 15 min walk from lakeside and has great mountain views. We have a storage facility for paragliders at the Blue Sky Centre.
