9th July - 16th or 22nd July - Beginner/ intermediate / thermalling course
Location - St Pierre De Chartreuse, France.
Joint course run with Flying Fever
and Les Gens D'air French paragliding school. We have
a selection of flying sites covered in flowers! The
closest just up from the hotel is La Scia a 800m top
to bottom hill with a road up. We are renting a large house based in the
small village of St Pierre de Chartreuse in a natural
park, where the mountains are very beautiful. We run
beginner courses equivalent to elementary pilot (EP)
in Britain and intermediate course equivalent to club
pilot (CP) in Britain.

9th July start Beginner/ Intermediate Course
Training begins on the flat learning to control and launch your paraglider.
Lots of Small flights teach you the basic good techniques, that will lay a solid foundation for your future safety and enjoyment in the sport.
When you have mastered the low levels you will move onto higher solo flights.
Training tandem flights with an instructor introduces you to the highskies.
For your high solo flights you have an instructor on the take off and one on the landing guiding you by radio.
You work through a series of internationally recognised exercises that take you step by step to the freedom of the skies. Evening de-briefing and self assessment.
Radios and video are used as training aids.
Theory sessions of aerodynamics, meteorology, airmanship and airlaw. Exams.
Equipment of helmet, harness, radio and paraglider is supplied during the course.

Qualified pilots have £100 discount.
Paragliding is weather dependant there is no guarantee and no refund is possible.
Paragliding is an adventure sport and involves an element of risk.
All flying sports are potentially dangerous and can cause bodily injury or death.
Your training will follow strict safety guidelines to keep the risk to a minimum. It will teach you to use good safe judgement, respect the weather conditions and your own limits and always fly with a large safety margin. You must only use airworthy equipment that is suitable for your size and ability.
You must be fit and in good health to fly. You must not be suffering from the effects of drink or drugs.
You must be prepared to follow the directions of your instructor and abide by his/her decisions. You must only progress from one training phase to the next when you are confident of your ability.
The race is long and it's with yourself.
